Companies spend Billions of dollars Annually on Leadership training and improving employees’ ability to communicate.
We saw how students were good at Martial Arts but lacked the ability to stand in front of other students and lead them through the physical technique they had already Mastered.
If they already Mastered a Technique why were they so SHY to show others?
We saw it then, there was NO Correlation between becoming Good at physical martial arts and the ability to Communicate.
That’s when we Realized a HUGE missing Key Component was The Ability to Confidently Communicate.
We also saw this in early 2000 when we struggled Turning students into Instructors. Not all of them could Confidently Communicate.
That time gave me clarity on what we needed to ADD to the Training to Enhance the skill early in our students’ development.
So began the research.
That’s how the Leadership Triangulation method came to be.
It was a way for students to Practice Communication while doing something they loved – Martial Arts.
By combining these 2 Elements together we created a Program that was the 1st of its kind and Accelerated a child’s ability to Feel Confident talking and leading a large group class.
We incorporated this training into classes by Putting the students into groups of 3. Creating a Triangle allowed us to take a group of 30 students and turn them into 10 smaller groups for more practice.
We then created the training for our Chief Instructors to learn how to BEST deliver this training and Optimize the outcome for each of our students.
Of course, having a Better sidekick had nothing to do with a child’s Ability to Confidently Communicate.
Communication has 2 Components – Verbal and Non-Verbal.
Our Certified Instructors have been Trained to coach our future leaders through this process.
You can see the Results of this process in many ways.
1. Have you noticed our students, especially our Leadership members are less Awkward and more mature than most teenagers?
2. Have you ever seen a child Bow a class in?
3. Have you ever seen a child end class?
4. Have you seen kids practicing the Life Skill pillars? Notice how they use their Body and Voice to Create Confidence, Congruency, and a Belief in themselves?
This is Evidence that the Prestige Leadership program is Enhancing a child’s Ability to have the Confidence, Maturity, and Poise to stand in front of a room full of people….
~ While Standing Tall
~ using Eye Contact
~ And a delivering with a Clear Confident Voice.
Our Instructors will Grow up learning this process.
I only wonder why elementary schools around the country aren’t teaching this valuable skill.
